college ball at Tennessee until 1993. Selected
by the Detroit Pistons as 11th overall pick in the 1993 NBA Draft. Played
in Detroit till 1995-96. Signed
with the New York Knicks in 1996-97. Has been playing there ever since. Selected
to the
Sporting News All-America 2nd Team in 1993. Shares
the NBA single-game record for most three-point field goals made in
one half with seven. 2
times selected to the NBA All-Star Game. Won
the gold medal at the 2000 Olympic Games with the US Team. Led
the NBA in free-throw shooting percentage in 2002-03. Son
of former Tennessee head coach Wade Houston.
